Earth Day 2020

Our earth is estimated to be 4.543 billion years old. Man, that's old! Yet, we are only just starting to celebrate Earth Day. Today, April 22, 2020, marks annual Earth Day #50. What can we do today for Mother Earth? Let's start by turning off the lights when we leave a room, and let's turn off the taps for those 20 seconds we spend scrubbing our hands together with soap suds to ensure they are free of any contaminants. We can take shorter showers, and even skip a day (or more) between them. Drive less, eat less, recycle better, donate things, and waste less--it all adds up! Don't worry if you need to use a plastic bag, but try to re-use one instead. Don't worry if you need to drive your car, but ride your bike if you can instead. Don't worry about using the barbecue, but eat some fresh vegetables instead. These are all things that we should do regularly, not just on Earth Day. It is an opportunity to reflect, to learn, and to implement. Please make a plan to live more harmoniously with Mother Earth going forward. Please make a plan to embrace Earth everyday. And, make it a fun plan.

I'm going outside now to plant some seeds and go for a bike ride with my family. :)
